Good To Know
I purchased the accommodations from Groupon for this resort. The package included 3 days (2 nights) at the resort hotel, passes for four people to the water park, 4 tickets to a show, a large pizza, 4 popcorns and 4 drinks. In addition there was several other activities available on site. The hotel room was your standard two bed room. Nothing was fancy about it. The beds were comfortable enough and the room was clean. There was a microwave and refrigerator. The only downside to the room was the toilet had a leaky valve and it ran constantly. The water park was fun for the kids, but was of a size where it could be crowded easily. The teen aged kids might not have been overly entertained by the water park. But there was two outdoor pools and one inside pool. My 10 year old enjoyed the water park a lot. The indoor pool did leave something to be desired. It was rather dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned in some time. On both days there was a surprise in the men's toilet which left be to believe it had been greater than 24 hours since it had been cleaned. The pool itself needs a new dividing rope. It was covered in globs of hair. Also bring your own towels to the indoor pool, as they are not provided. The show we saw was very entertaining. My kids enjoyed it very much and it had a good variety of music. The included pizza was just ok. It wasn't spectacular, but the kids were ok with it. In all the value for what I paid was good. If it is offered again on Groupon I will purchase it again.
We are about to stay for our forth and final night here and I am so excited to leave tomorrow. This place is horrible. Whoever took the photos should have been paid a mint because they made this place look GOOD. What you're really getting: a very outdated roadside motel. Everything is spaced apart across a Walmart sized parking lot so you have to zig zag across blazing hot asphalt parking lots with no walkways to visit the various buildings. The water park is small and ideal for kids up to about 8 years old. There are only two small tunnel slides, I am 5' tall and had to lean back to go down them. There's really nothing appropriately sized for older people to do but sit in a hot tub. Nothing like Great Wolf Lodge or even Key Lime Cove. The outdoor pool that looks so impressive online is an ankle deep toddler play pool. Completely tiny compared to what the photos depict. Our room was as far away as humanly possible. I booked the hotel because my daughter is allergic to sunscreen and an indoor water park is the only way for her to enjoy that type of thing. Turns out we have to drive to it or she would burn crossing the parking lot on our hike there and back, it's that far away. Four nights here, we've spent one hour in the water park. NOT WORTH IT! Our first night here we had to have the maintenance man argue to get us a new room. Turns out they put us in one with a broken lock (on a corner, by a stairwell), and being just a mom and daughter there was no way I was comfortable with that. It took 2 hours from when I first called about the problem till we were actually given the ok to move, so it was nearly 1am when we were settled back in. No one was apologetic at all. We had no do not disturb sign to leave out so I had to fashion my own, obviously maids knocking at 7-8am wasn't going to be ideal after being up so late. We were moved a floor up and the new room has peeling wallpaper, bugs, and smelled like old cigarettes. The entire building we are in is tacky, balconies littered with lawn chairs so smokers can linger outside. We regularly have to sidestep people sitting outside smoking and drinking beer. Yesterday when we returned from our long day we found our keys no longer opened our door. We had to waste a half hour dealing with that, again no apology. Whoever the Hispanic sounding male is that I've gotten both times we called with problems is extremely rude and I always have to call back and get another person to actually accomplish anything. I can't comment on maid service since I have left my sign up to not disturb, I just don't even want to chance having them in the room at this point. Ive also avoided the food and shows because with everything else as bad as it, there's no way I'm throwing more money into this place.
You can spend your whole day at this one place, they offer everything from shows, putt putt, arcades, breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. All around great place to visit
We visited last year (2015) with our then 2 year old. We absolutely loved the fact that there was so much to do. When it was raining, there was an indoor water park, shows, shopping, and restaurants to keep you busy. Thats not even naming the mini golf, games, and laser tag in the game building. The rooms were nice too.
